CEMP is the Center for Econometrics and Microdata Practice. CEMP develops and applies methods for modelling behavior of individual economic agents, such as consumers and firms, and the impact of relevant policy interventions. We focus on the development of application-oriented micro-econometric methods and the introduction of state-of-the-art quantitative technologies to applied microeconomic research to promote a close integration of microeconomic theory and econometric methodology. CEMP encourages interdisciplinary research among the fields of econometrics, applied microeconomics, statistics, computer sciences, and other social sciences.
CEMP conducts research and organizes conferences, workshops and training courses. Academic and professional economists, social scientists, statisticians, and computer scientists from China and abroad are welcome at CEMP events.
