We focus on the development of application-oriented micro-econometric methods and the introduction of state-of-the-art quantitative technologies to applied microeconomic research to promote a close integration of microeconomic theory and econometric methodology. CEMP encourages interdisciplinary research among the fields of econometrics, applied microeconomics, statistics, computer sciences, and other social sciences.
CEMP conducts research and organizes conferences, workshops and training courses. Academic and professional economists, social scientists, statisticians, and computer scientists from China and abroad are welcome at CEMP events.
CEMP maintains an extensive network of fellows at home and abroad. It intends to become a leading research institute in the field of micro-econometrics in China.
CEMP is inside the Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University and encourages collaborations among faculty members in IESR. CEMP complies with the IESR regulations for tenure and promotion.
